Oumou Hawa Bah

Chief Communication Officer

2nd year student in the Faculty of Letters and Language Sciences at General Lansana Conté de Sonfonia University, I am Oumou Hawa Bah. I was born in the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire in Abidjan (cocody) where I did my primary studies and half of college in (adjamé Harris modern high school).

I returned to Guinea in August 2016, and from there I finished middle school at (Saint-Jacques) and high school at (Mahatma Gandhi Private Institute).

Orphan since the passing of my father in 2008, this part of my life pushed me to found the NGO Aidons Les Orphelins in 2020.

After noticing some differences between the country where I was born and the one I came from, I decided in 2022 to join GYLI, an organization that brings together several young people with the same goals, as a writer and social media manager. Ambitious, dreamy and concerned about the future of Guinean youth on several levels, such as the education system, entrepreneurship, and leadership, I saw in GYLI the same ambitions and concerns to offer the best opportunities to empower Guinean youths.
